I used to deal with Habib Finance (Australia) Limited and I notice this site is now called Citilink Finance, why is this?

Citilink Finance are pleased to announce that on 29th June 2007 Citilink Finance Australia Limited took over the business of Habib Finance (Australia) Limited and continue to provide the same levels of service. You will still be dealing with the same staff & Habib Bank network to send money to Pakistan. We remain located in the same premises. The office contact & Bank account details and Australian Business Number (ABN) also remain the same.

Citilink Finance will gradually unveil an exciting range of new financial products and services.

Citilink Finance offer the same reliable service and value you have come to expect from Habib Finance (Australia) Limited and Habib Bank, Pakistan. Habib Bank no longer operate in Australia but remain Pakistan’s largest bank with a huge network of over 1437 branches and offices throughout Pakistan.

 

 

  

Q.

How long does it take for money to reach the nominated account in Pakistan?

 

A. 

Citilink Finance retain strong ties to Habib Bank and if the account in Pakistan is maintained with Habib Bank Pakistan it may be credited within same day in main towns & some more time in smaller towns for funds to arrive in the account.

However, if the beneficiary is maintaining an account with any other bank in Pakistan, then it may take longer as the received funds are forwarded by Habib Bank to the recipient’s branch of their own bank in Pakistan through the nearest branch of Habib Bank in the town or city.

 

 

 

 

Q.

What are the advantages of sending money through banking channels?

 

A.

The remitted money through banking channels can be invested in Pakistan without query. If the total amount remitted in Pakistani rupees is more than US$2500/-to US $50,000/- then the remitter is entitled to apply for a Silver, Silver Plus,Gold, Gold Plus & Platinum Card.

Aside from the above benefits to you, Direct Bank Transfers like this help the Foreign Exchange Reserves of Pakistan.

Fax a copy of the deposit advice from your bank to Citilink Finance Australia Ltd. Sydney,
on +61 2 9222 1805 the receipt of deposit along with the details of Beneficiary's name and account plus your name, address and telephone number on the form provided so that the receipt of remittance can be mailed to you.

Step 3.

Please sign the form and send a copy of your Australian driving license. Do not forget to call and confirm receipt of fax with Remittance department of Citilink Finance Australia Ltd., Sydney on 1300 851 802 or +61 2 9222 1802 ext-102.

Why does CitiLink Finance ask for identification?

 

A.

Australian Law requires that all banking and non-banking financial institutions are required to obtain a form completed by the client/sender and request ID in the case of any remittance of A$10000/- & above in cash.

 

 

  

Q.

I have a rupee account in Pakistan. Can I get it transferred to Australia?

 

A. 

Yes. It is possible with Citilink Finance Australia Ltd., however it was not possible in the past.

 

 

 

 

Q.

Can I maintain a Foreign Currency Account in Pakistan?

 

A.

Yes. Any body can maintain a Foreign Currency Account in Pakistan.

 

 

  

Q.

My remittance is usually delayed and takes longer because the beneficiary maintains an account with another Bank in Pakistan. How can I expedite the remittance?

 

A.

You may wish to suggest to the beneficiary that they open an account with the nearest branch of Habib Bank in Pakistan to avoid delays

Can I send remittance in US Dollars?

 

A.

Yes, remittance can be sent to Pakistan in US dollars.

I am considering buying a flat or house or possibly a commercial property for my business; can Citilink Finance provide such loans or mortgages?

 

A.
